Ferida Bay Mare, foaled 1886 by Desert Bred parents Bred by: the Shammar tribe in Mesopotamia Strain: Managhieh Ibn Sbeyel Stood: 14.1½ hands Registration: GSB #120 Taken to Egypt by Mohamed Khudr Jemal el Din, she was purchased by the Blunts and exported to Crabbet in 1891. After the partition of the stud in 1906, she was retained by Wilfred Blunt at Newbuildings. She reportedly stood just 14.1½ hands. She was given away in 1907 and produced 9 registered foals.
