Hadban Bay Stallion, foaled 1878 Bred by: Jakin Ibn Akil, Sheik of the Daajayni Tribe of Ateybah Strain: Hadban Enzeyhi Stood: 14.2½ hands Registration: GSB #49 He was purchased from Jakin Ibn Akil by Ali Ibn Amr and taken to Bombay in the autumn of 1883. The blunts purchased him from Ali Ibn Amr for around £100 in 1883 and exported him to Crabbet in 1884. He was purchased by Mr Mackay of New South Wales and exported to Australia in 1885 (with Kars) although he left no known offspring there. Despite his short time at Crabbet, he sired the great broodmares Nefisa and Rose of Sharon. He was widely described as a striking individual standing 14.2½ hands with three white feet.
