Bred in Arabia, he was purchased by Mr Skene on behalf of the Blunts in the desert in October 1878 and exported to Crabbet in 1879. Only used at Crabbet for three years, he was purchased by Count Potocki for 525 guineas at the first Crabbet Sale in 1882. Sold to the Imperial Russian Stud in 1885, he won prizes in the showring in England. A half brother to Meshura, he was most notable as the sire of Bozra.
